Volleyball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Bishop McGuinness was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of College Prep & Leadership Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Villains came up short against the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Villains in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

While Bishop McGuinness ultimately came up short, they really made Uwharrie Charter Academy work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 26-17.

Gwen Feeney paced Bishop McGuinness' offense, picking up six kills. Feeney got some help from Annabelle Pirkl and her five assists. Finally, Tabitha Bigwood kept Bishop McGuinness' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
