Baseball Recap: Steinbrenner Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steinbrenner can now relate to. They fell just short of the Plant Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Steinbrenner saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Koumas, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Steinbrenner's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Plant, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

While Steinbrenner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
