Bishop Kelly has gone a perfect 10-0 against Caldwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Bishop Kelly will take on Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. Bishop Kelly will be strutting in after a win while Caldwell will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Bishop Kelly turned things around against Blackfoot on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Broncos. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Jaxson Brady was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Brady was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Wright, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Luca Quilici was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Bishop Kelly always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blackfoot only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to South Fremont.
Caldwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Felton, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI was Felton's first of the season.
Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bishop Kelly, their record now sits at 2-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop Kelly has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Caldwell struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
