Softball Recap: PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's offense. They came up short against the Auburn Trojans on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Vogel, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Auburn, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central will head out to face off against Pawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Auburn, they will challenge Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
