Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson). Everything went their way against the Alliance Aviators on Saturday as the Jackson Polar Bears made off with a 91-71 victory. Given the Polar Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Aviators are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Jackson's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Alliance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Jackson has already played their next matchup, an 87-40 victory against Firestone on the 28th. As for Alliance, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. One thing working in West Branch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
