Volleyball Recap: Yuba City Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Yuba City can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Brothers Falcons on Tuesday. The Honkers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18.

Madison Jackson paced Yuba City's offense, picking up ten kills. Jackson got some help from Emily Smith and her 15 assists. Bridget Lavy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Christian Brothers had a senior duo take command as Isabella Alvarez had 17 digs and five assists and Simone Huarte hit 66.7% for 34 kills and 14 digs and four aces. Huarte is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 23 games she's played.

Yuba City's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Christian Brothers, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-14.

Yuba City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Brothers, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Nevada Union on the 30th.
