Messalonskee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They took down the Skowhegan River Hawks 61-42. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the River Hawks are ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Messalonskee has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Skowhegan, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
