Laton came into Thursday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Riverdale Christian Ambassadors 3-0 on Thursday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Ambassadors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

While Laton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-7, 25-14.

Laton's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Riverdale Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
