Overton hasn't had much luck against Whitehaven recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Overton Wolverines will head out on the road to  challenge  the Whitehaven Tigers  at 4:30  p.m. Overton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7  runs per game  this season.
Overton came into their game  on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  11-1 to Olive Branch. The loss was the Wolverines' first of the season.
 Overton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aiden Dillard, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-1. That  hit marked the first that  Dillard  got this season.
Meanwhile, Whitehaven gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  last Friday. Everything went their way against Memphis East as Whitehaven made off with  a  10-4 win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Whitehaven let  Jaylon Dodson and  Ramar Smith run wild. Dodson  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Smith  scored three  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-2.  Andrew Robinson was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Whitehaven was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .438. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Overton  fell to 5-1. As for Whitehaven, their record now sits at 1-0.
 Overton might still be hurting after the  15-0 defeat they got from Whitehaven  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can Overton avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
