Volleyball Game Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Norfolk Catholic Knights

The Crofton Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Norfolk Catholic Knights on Tuesday. Crofton is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Crofton came up short against Battle Creek and fell 2-0.

Crofton's loss came about despite a quality game from Karoline Schendt, who had seven digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Catholic earned a 2-0 win over Wayne on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won five in a row.

While Norfolk Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Norfolk Catholic found their leader in sophomore Reese Timmerman, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Timmerman.

Crofton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Norfolk Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Crofton skirted past Norfolk Catholic 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
