Basketball Recap: Moore Catholic Takes a Loss

Moore Catholic lost against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mavericks fell 52-42 to the Vikings.

When it comes to explaining why Moore Catholic lost, don't look at Eenej Vinson. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of A.J. Biscuiti, who earned four points and seven rebounds.

Moore Catholic's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moore Catholic will square off against St. Edmund Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, they will be playing at home against St. Peter's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
