Softball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

After flying high against East on Wednesday, Southern came back down to earth. The Indians lost 23-12 to the Chaney Cowboys on Thursday.

Kennedy Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Gianna Pecorelli was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Southern has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Chaney, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Southern will square off against United at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chaney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ursuline at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
