Basketball Recap: Rocky River Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Rocky River suffered their biggest loss since February 14th on Friday. They came up short against the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles, falling 44-22. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Rocky River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elizabeth Lang dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Lang is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last six games she's played.

Rocky River's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Rocky River will venture away from home to face off against North Olmsted at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Rocky River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-59 victory against Tri-Village on the 28th.
