Basketball Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Rangeview Raiders

Two dominant forwards in Knakai Starks and Maddie Kilmer are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will welcome the Rangeview Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista PEAK Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Vista PEAK Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Northfield, taking the game 72-65.

Starks was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Amaya Nance was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Vista PEAK Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up six more assists than Northfield's also-impressive total of 12.

Meanwhile, Rangeview came up short against Denver East on Wednesday, falling 54-32. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Angels are ranked 12th).

Vista PEAK Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Rangeview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Vista PEAK Prep beat Rangeview 61-54 in their previous meeting back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rangeview's Devyn Davenport, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards.
