Volleyball Recap: Denver Academy Starts Season with Win Against Poudre Community Academy

Denver Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Poudre Community Academy Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Denver Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7.

Poudre Community Academy is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clear Creek at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Poudre Community Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
