Recap: Idea Timberwolves vs. DC International Dragons

On Tuesday, the Idea Timberwolves faced the DC International Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Idea ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-30 walloping at the hands of the Dragons. Idea's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Idea lost, one person who can't be blamed is Asaisha Greene. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points. That was a full 40% of Idea's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Leading DC International to victory were Kai Davis and Camille Larsen-Humphreys. Davis scored seven points along with eight steals and six assists, while Larsen-Humphreys almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Larsen-Humphreys scored 15 or more points.

Idea's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for DC International, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Washington Leadership Academy the next time they take the court. DC International will head out to face Washington Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Idea will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
