Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elk Mound). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Bloomer Blackhawks on Tuesday. This was payback for the Mounders, who suffered a 9-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win got Elk Mound back to even at 2-2. As for Bloomer, they moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Elk Mound didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 victory against Glenwood City on the 10th. As for Bloomer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-6 loss against St. Croix Falls on the 11th.
