Baseball Game Preview: Roger Bacon Spartans vs. Norwood Indians

For the second straight game, Roger Bacon will face off against Norwood. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Roger Bacon is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Norwood on Tuesday. The Spartans blew past the Indians 14-3. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Robby Brenner tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Roger Bacon is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Roger Bacon got a massive performance out of Ben Powers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Powers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
