Baseball Game Preview: Lewis Central Titans vs. Red Oak Tigers

Lewis Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Red Oak recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Titans will take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Lewis Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Red Oak's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lewis Central's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Sioux City East hitters got past them. The Titans lost 16-7 to the Black Raiders on Saturday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Red Oak faced off against Clear Lake on Friday. The Tigers fell 13-8 to the Lions. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lewis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Red Oak, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Everything went Lewis Central's way against Red Oak when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Lewis Central made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
