Softball Recap: Flandreau Drops Highest Score of Season Against Parker

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flandreau). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Parker Pheasants a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Fliers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rylee Allen was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacey Sundermeyer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Flandreau always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Flandreau's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Parker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Flandreau is taking a road trip to take on Deuel at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Fliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parker, they will face off against Baltic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
