Basketball Recap: Mclean Piles Up the Points Against Lefors

McLean won the last time they faced Lefors and things went their way on Friday too. The McLean Tigers breezed by the Lefors Pirates to the tune of 66-26. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Collin Alston, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Montoya, who posted 14 points.

McLean was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

McLean's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Lefors, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

McLean will face off against Shamrock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shamrock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season. Lefors has already played their next matchup (against White Deer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
