South Caldwell won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Monday too. The Spartans put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win.

South Caldwell walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.

South Caldwell was led to victory by Harper Young and Lydia Church. Young had 13 assists and two aces, while Church had 12 assists.

They weren't the only good servers: South Caldwell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in five consecutive matches.

South Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Freedom, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

South Caldwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Alexander Central on the 14th. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
