Volleyball Recap: San Antonio Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

San Antonio Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the St. Augustine Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant San Antonio Christian was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-13.

Maggie Adkison paced San Antonio Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Adkison got some help from Mary Ellen Sturm and her 14 assists. Annabelle Warren controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

San Antonio Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-16. As for St. Augustine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. San Antonio Christian will challenge rival St. Joseph Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Augustine is set to square off against their familiar foe Saint Mary's Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
