Softball Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Green Hill Hawks
Gallatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat. They lost 20-7 to the Green Hill Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on April 2nd.
Morgan Baskerville was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Rose Steele was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.
Gallatin's record now sits at 1-25. As for Green Hill, their victory was their 22nd straight at home, which pushed their record up to 39-2.
Coming up, Gallatin will head out to square off against White House-Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
