Mitchell is the MaxPreps Nebraska High School Football Player of the Week.
Smith, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior, carried 20 times for 246 yards and five touchdowns in a 65-30 win over Alliance. Defensively, he recorded three
tackles, intercepted a pass and defended four others.

Bennington: Senior running back carried 24 times for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also catching three passes for 94 yards and two scores in a 34-7 win over Blair.

Auburn: Senior ran for 243 yards and five touchdowns on 23 carries in a 40-26 win over Lincoln Christian.

Eli Coble,
Broken Bow: Ran an incredible 52 times for 447 yards and three touchdowns in a 43-19 win over Holdrege. Also threw a touchdown pass, made three tackles and blocked a field goal attempt.

Luke Holly,
Sidney: Senior ran for 180 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 40-21 win over Chadron.
