Basketball Recap: Knox County Comes Up Short

Knox County lost against Highland back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knox County Eagles took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Cougars. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Knox County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Highland, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knox County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Louisiana at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Knox County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Highland, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Highland Cougars face off against the Canton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
