Baseball Recap: Delaware County Christian Wins Going Away Against the Christian Academy

Delaware County Christian barely beat The Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over The Christian Academy on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Justin Ma was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reid Darnall, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Delaware County Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for The Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delaware County Christian will welcome Jenkintown at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Drakes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for The Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Plumstead Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
