New Roads is 8-2 against Wildwood since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the New Roads Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Wildwood Wolves at 1:30 p.m.

New Roads is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Vistamar on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. New Roads was beaten by Vistamar 74-42. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Wildwood fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Lennox Academy by a score of 48-37 on Wednesday.

Wildwood's win came from a few key players New Roads will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tiger Knowles, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bowden Eley, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Wildwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

New Roads' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Wildwood, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

New Roads came up short against Wildwood when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 54-47. Can New Roads avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
