Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Meigs County). They walked away with an 18-14 win over the Chattanooga Central Pounders on Tuesday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 7-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Meigs County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Chattanooga Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meigs County will face off against Red Bank at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattanooga Central, they will take on Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pounders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
