Basketball Recap: Fox Tech Comes Up Short

Fox Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Burbank Bulldogs 93-33. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-11 back in December of 2024.

Zara?Nique Nealy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Burbank, dropping a triple-double on 30 points, ten boards, and 13 assists. Nealy's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Nyila Botello was another key player, going 10 for 20 en route to 26 points and four steals.

Fox Tech's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Burbank, they pushed their record up to 19-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Fox Tech has already played their next contest (against Brackenridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Burbank will welcome Lanier at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Burbank knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Lanier likes a good challenge.
