Baseball Recap: Herron Takes a Loss

Herron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans. The Achaeans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Herron saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elon Sharp, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Herron now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Coming up, Herron will head out to challenge Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Orioles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.44 runs per game on average), something the Achaeans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they will challenge Greenwood Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
