Soccer Recap: Mexia Comes Up Short

Mexia was the 1-0 winner over Connally when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Connally Cadets who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Connally Cadets got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Mexia Black Cats' zero. The Black Cats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mexia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Connally, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6-1.

Mexia has already played their next contest (against Marlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Connally has already played their next match, a 1-1 victory against Harmony Science Academy on the 31st.
