Moriarty had to endure an eight-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Estancia Bears by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Pintos, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Estancia scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up eight kills. Dunn got some help from Lily Shelby and her 11 assists. Emma Quintana controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Estancia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Moriarty will head out to square off against Aztec at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Estancia, they will take on East Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
