Basketball Recap: Irvington Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Irvington Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 62-52 to the Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights. Irvington Preparatory Academy was down 50-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

It was another big night for Xzavion Collins, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 24 points and five assists for Indiana Math & Science Academy North. The dominant performance gave Collins a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Roniel Tibe, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Irvington Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, their record is now 13-7.

Looking ahead, Irvington Preparatory Academy will venture away from home to take on Traders Point Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, they will welcome Providence Cristo Rey at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
