St. Joseph had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the West Caldwell Tech Eagles. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

St. Joseph had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 25-22.

West Caldwell Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was John Jimenez, who had 25 digs and six assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 15 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

St. Joseph pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for West Caldwell Tech, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

St. Joseph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Colonia on the 24th. As for West Caldwell Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Monroe Township on the 23rd.
