Volleyball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton was the 2-1 winner over Thomas Jefferson when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Spartans on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lilly Leiker paced Brighton's offense, picking up four kills. Leiker got some help from Kenna Von Ah and her five assists. Hailey Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Brighton now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Thomas Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thomas Jefferson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Vista PEAK Prep on the 1st.
