Basketball Recap: Teton's Loss Ends 16-Game Winning Streak on the Road

On Wednesday, Teton faced South Fremont in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Teton Timberwolves took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Fremont Cougars. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Brianne Bailey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Fremont, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. Bailey is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Lily Christensen was another key player, putting up seven points.

Teton's loss ended a 16-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2. As for South Fremont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Teton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-33 defeat against Sugar-Salem on the 17th. As for South Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-50 victory against North Fremont on the 17th.
