Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Miguel). Everything went their way against the Hoover Cardinals on Monday as they made off with a 21-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Mount Miguel got a massive performance out of A Sinsay, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Sinsay also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Carlene Keller, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Mount Miguel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .861. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mount Miguel picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Hoover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Mount Miguel will square off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoover, they will challenge Crawford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
