Softball Recap: Albert Gallatin Comes Up Short

Albert Gallatin had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it four. They lost 15-0 to the Baldwin Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on April 11th.

As for Baldwin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Baldwin's part, Ryley Shaw was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordan Gerendash, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Albert Gallatin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-3 victory against Peters Township on the 29th. As for Baldwin, they will challenge Trinity at 6:30 p.m. on the 6th.
