Turner had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They beat the Evansville Blue Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Turner's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Evansville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turner will head out to face off against Brodhead/Juda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville, they will face off against Mount Horeb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
