Baseball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Riverside challenged Adamsville on Friday. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Cardinals. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

Riverside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Yarbro, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Adamsville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Coming up, Riverside will venture away from home to take on Crockett County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adamsville, they will welcome Scotts Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
