Basketball Game Preview: West Branch Bears vs. Keokuk Chiefs

The West Branch Bears will take on the Keokuk Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, West Branch was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to Regina. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Regals recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Keokuk blew past Central Lee, posting a 67-38 victory. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Keokuk and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for West Branch, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

West Branch took their victory against Keokuk in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 73-52. Does West Branch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Keokuk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
