Football Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Parkland had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it eight. They had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of the East Forsyth Eagles. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Ethan Bailey threw for 43 yards and one TD. Jason Day Jr was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.

As for East Forsyth, they now have a winning record of 4-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Forsyth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cannen Rottweiler, who rushed for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Rottweiler posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Mikah Fuller also helped with two scores in total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkland will square off against Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against Northwest Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
