Recap: Monroe County Tigers vs. Georgiana Panthers
The Monroe County Tigers pushed their score all the way to 75 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 85-75 to Georgiana. While losing is never fun, Monroe County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Georgiana is ranked 63rd).
Monroe County now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Georgiana, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Straughn at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Georgiana, they will head out on the road to face off against Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
