Volleyball Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers

Saint Ignatius College Prep hasn't had much luck against Loyola Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolfpack will face off against the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Saint Ignatius College Prep came up short against Chicago Mt. Carmel and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13.

Loyola Academy hadn't beaten Glenbrook North on the road since April 15, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Ramblers won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Loyola Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25, 25-15.

Loyola Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Saint Ignatius College Prep couldn't quite get it done against Loyola Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
