Basketball Recap: Fostoria Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Fostoria Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Juniata Christian Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-9 back in December of 2024.

Juniata Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyvia Banks led the charge by putting up 11 points and three steals. Meghyn Bennett was another key player, earning six points.

Fostoria Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Juniata Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Fostoria Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juniata Christian, they will challenge Faith Baptist at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Juniata Christian's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Faith Baptist's offense will have their work cut out for them.
