South San Francisco came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Jefferson Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in March.

Giovanni Bernal made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Vince Bernal was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Emilio Oseguera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

South San Francisco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

South San Francisco pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

South San Francisco will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
