Football Recap: Corliss Starts Season with Loss at Home

Corliss unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Payton College Prep Grizzlies by a score of 17-14 on Friday. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Grizzlies 8-0 in the first quarter.

The critical scores for Payton College Prep came from Jackson Peters and Samuel Merrill.

Coming up, Corliss will welcome Thornwood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Payton College Prep, they will head out to face off against Hyde Park at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
