Baseball Game Preview: Onalaska Wildcats vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

The Onalaska Wildcats will challenge the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson-Shiro took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Onalaska, who comes in off a win.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Onalaska nor Coldspring-Oakhurst made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Anderson-Shiro didn't have quite enough to beat New Waverly on Thursday and fell 8-7.

The win was the third in a row for Onalaska, bringing their record up to 13-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Anderson-Shiro, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 15-8.
