Firebaugh had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bellflower Buccaneers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

While Firebaugh won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-14.

Firebaugh's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Bellflower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-22.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Firebaugh is set to square off against their familiar foe Gahr at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bellflower will take on rival Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
